Environment, Hygiene and Safety at work

Workplace safety and hygiene are crucial elements for employee well-being and business productivity. At Almadius, we are committed to provide expert advice to establish and maintain a safe and hygienic work environment.

Due diligence

When acquiring a company or valuing assets, it is crucial to understand the potential risks related to safety and hygiene. We carry out environmental and health and safety audits, designed to estimate the HSE risks and liabilities of the target company.

Our Due Diligence service assesses existing practices and identifies areas of non-compliance or poor practice, which could pose a risk to the acquirer. We provide a detailed report with recommendations to address any gaps.

Our financial estimation tool, based on Monte Carlo equations, allows the quantification of environmental liabilities of the target company or your company based on the probability of occurrence of multiple scenarios.

Audits

Our regulatory compliance audits aim to ensure that your company meets all legal obligations in terms of safety and hygiene at work and the environment.

Our experts review all aspects of safety, from machine safety standards to emergency procedures, and environment, from waste management to environmental permit requirements and other applicable site requirements, to ensure all legal requirements are met.

We also advise on the measures needed to achieve regulatory compliance. We develop customized action plans to address non-conformities and improve safety and hygiene practices.

We are active mainly in France and Belgium, but also internationally where we surround ourselves with local experts.

FAQ

ISO 14001 and 45001: which one to choose?

K
L

ISO14001 is an environmental management system certification while ISO45001 is dedicated to occupational health and safety. If you are looking to improve your environmental performance, ISO 14001 is appropriate. If your priority is to ensure a safe and healthy workplace, ISO 45001 is more appropriate. Many companies find it beneficial to implement both to cover all aspects of sustainability and workplace wellbeing.

What is ISO 26000?

K
L

ISO 26000 is a guidance standard on social responsibility. It provides direction on how organizations can operate in a socially responsible manner. This includes ethical practices, transparency, respect for stakeholders, human rights, labor practices, the environment, good operational practices, consumer issues and community engagement. It is structured around seven principles of social responsibility and seven core issues that organizations must consider in order to be socially responsible.

Is environmental due diligence really an added value?

K
L

Although environmental due diligence represents an initial cost, it provides real added value by helping to manage risks, comply with regulations, reduce future costs, attract investors, improve reputation and uncover opportunities for improvement. The initial investment is justified by the many long-term benefits, making environmental due diligence an essential part of a company’s strategic management.
